Biography, Experience, Current
Projects and Fee Schedules
With
a Master's degree in Fine Arts from Catholic University, Sister
Margaret has been in the art field for more than thirty years, teaching
art and creating her own sculpture. Her works can be seen throughout
the United States, in Lourdes, France, Haiti, and South Korea.
Her style is
uniquely her own, emphasizing traditional figurative work with a
clarity of line and form. No matter the figure sculpted, Sister
Margaret's work shows an incarnational spirituality--God's love
and compassion.
Recent commissions
include:
- Jesus
and Two Students
- St. Augustine
- Student
Nurse
- Mother
Xavier Ross
As Sr. Margaret
begins working in clay, a mold is made and the sculpture is cast
into bronze or fiberglass. Sculptures cast from molds previously
made are less expensive than new original pieces.
Life-size figures
in bronze may range around $27,000, while in bonded bronze or fiberglass
they are about half that price. Smaller pieces, of course, cost
less in each medium, and multiple figures cost more. Fees are usually
paid in thirds.
