Biography, Experience, Current Projects and Fee Schedules
A self-employed artist/designer for 28 years, I work primarily in architectural art glass, cast glass, and laminated glass, with frequent mixed media/sculptural commissions incorporating stone, ceramic, wood, metal, and water. Site-specific commissions range internationally and include public, private, corporate, and liturgical formats, generally on a monumental scale. Encouraging professional collaboration, I am personally involved in all phases of design, fabrication, and installation. My primary concern is the sympathetic integration of artwork with environment and community.

Accustomed to collaborating with clients, design teams, architects and general contractors, often with different agendas, my intent is for all to arrive at a unified goal without sacrificing the aesthetics of a commission. I expect to develop an approach to a site in consultation with other professionals; to benefit from their expertise as well as to share my own. This includes determining appropriate materials to be incorporated. Whenever possible, pieces are designed in a modular fashion enabling enlargement, reduction, or relocation without impacting the integrity of the concept.

Integrated harmoniously with the architectural statement, the natural environment, and the people within, art has the potential to diffuse anger, ease stress, and to induce a sense of calm. I consider my artwork as a visual point of departure as each individual brings perspective. Like cloud watching ... one is free to discover an unanticipated aspect, to see something new within the familiar.
